Colorful Polish-Persian Wedding at Fernblick
The end of June, clouds mixed with bright sunshine, and a wedding at Fernblick in St. Corona am Wechsel, a place where pastel colors combine with modern design. Nothing is clichéd or ordinary. Let’s add to that a stunning view, and we have the perfect setting for Ania and Dario’s wedding.
Preparations began in the stylishly furnished rooms upstairs at Fernblick. It’s incredibly convenient when everything on your wedding day can take place in one location: preparations, ceremony, and reception. You don’t have to think about logistics or travel between different locations, you can simply be there and enjoy that day from the very beginning to the end.

Persian symbolic ceremony at Fernblick
There were actually two ceremonies that day. The first one took place in a nearby church, just a short walk from Fernblick. It was moving, full of emotion and elegant. The second ceremony was held in the Fernblick garden. It was a traditional Persian Sofreh Aghd during which the bride and groom sit in front of an carefully arranged tablecloth, where every element has its meaning. For example mirrors and candles symbolized light and purity in marriage. At some point two hard, sugar cones are rubbed over the heads of the bride and groom to fill their lives with sweetness and happiness. As if this was not enough, there’s also honey, which Ania and Dario fed to each other, symbolized the sweetness of their life together and mutual support.
It was colorful, vibrant, and full of energy, very much like them. The ceremony ended with colorful smoke flares and a joyful exit of the bride and groom surrounded by their guests.
Garden wedding reception at Fernblick
The Fernblick wedding reception can take place both indoors and outdoors, in a partially covered space located right next to the garden. Even guests seated at the tables can enjoy the view, and at the same time they are just a few steps away from lounge areas with sofas and cocktail tables. The whole day was filled with unforgettable moments, a champagne tower, the cake, the speeches but what matters most, from my perspective as a wedding photographer, are the things happening in between. Conversations, laughter, small gestures, the way people look at each other. That’s what I focus on, capturing not only how the day looked, but how it felt.
At the end of the day, we were able to admire a beautiful sunset over the blooming lavender in the Fernblick garden. Then the party moved indoors, and the rest is history…
